Does My Insurance Cover Mold?

Many homeowners are not aware of their home insurance policy and whether or not it covers mold. From our experience here at SERVPRO of Vincennes we have found that most policies do not cover it. With that being said, there still are a few insurance companies that do have a mold endorsement but with that comes a limit to the coverage usually $2,500, $5,000, or $10,000 is the max amount paid out for the coverage.
